Founded in 1991 in Gothenburg, Sweden, Breas’ mission has always been to be at the Heart of Breathing. Breas has been developing innovative, home care ventilation and sleep therapy for over 25 years becoming a European market leader. Now supported by American engineering expertise in Boston, Breas ventilators offer improved care and efficiencies to US patients. In 2018, the Breas American affiliate, officially became Breas bringing the Z1 CPAP line of travel sized CPAPs to the Breas portfolio.

Vivo by Breas
Our Vivo respiratory line is intended for patient care in both a facility and the home setting. The Vivo 50, an advanced life support ventilator provides patients with stable ventilation and the convenience of mobility to support the patients’ desire for an independent lifestyle. The Vivo can also be equipped with FiO2, SpO2 and CO2 monitoring solutions, reducing the need for additional devices.
The Vivo 65, an advanced life support ventilator combines clinical excellence, connectivity and monitoring possibilities for both pediatric (greater than 11 lbs / 5 kg) and adult patients in hospitals, post-acute care institutions and the home. It delivers true clinical excellence thanks to its accurate volume delivery and highly responsive trigger system. Additionally, the Vivo 65 is the only home care ventilator with combined integrated SpO2, EtCO2, and FiO2 monitoring solutions, reducing the need for additional devices.
Z1 and Z2 CPAPs
The Z1 CPAP line revolutionized the CPAP market when it released the light weight, portable Z1 and Z1 Auto CPAP machines. The Z2 Auto CPAP builds on the form of the Z1® CPAP with an improved, quieter motor and Auto Start /Stop Feature. The Z2 lets sleep apnea patients travel more easily without having to lug around their bulky bedside CPAP machine. The Z2 PowerShell integrated battery solution allows CPAP uses to go anywhere even off the grid and get a good night’s sleep. The Z2 CPAP line is proudly designed and assembled at the Breas Medical, Inc. headquarters outside of Boston, Massachusetts.
